I have been teaching and instructing swimming for about a year and a half at various pools such as Newman, Bold Park, Ballajura Aquatic and now Churchlands. I have taught a range of levels and ages from infants all the way into older adults. I first started swim teaching as I had quite a strong passion for working with kids to help them grow and learn new skills, paired along with my interest in studying Teaching next year at university.
What is your background?
I have been swimming in squads myself for almost 6 years; I swam with UWA West Coast swimming club for 3 years and competed in a variety of state meets and carnivals, successfully winning champion boy in all primary school and high school carnivals (interschool included). Excitedly, I have also registered to swim to Rottnest in 2023!
Qualifications:
- CPR
- Bronze Medallion
- Senior First Aid
- Working With Children Check
- RLSSWA Swim Teacher Licence

Growing up, swimming has always been a key part of my life. I have grown up always being around pools and beaches, so it was important for me to learn how to swim. Swim teaching was always something I saw myself doing, and I have been teaching since 2021.
I love teaching all levels including toddlers, squads and adults; and I love seeing my students overcome their fears and enjoy swimming.
Each week seeing swimmers progress in ability and confidence makes my job very rewarding.
